The leading manufacturer in the vibration-applied powderization and drying field - supporting manufacturing with its powder technology

CHUO KAKOHKI CO., LTD.

We are dedicated to staying a step ahead of the changes the times bring, by offering a solid response to the needs of our customers through developing products that meet a wide range of applications.

Powder technology is essential in the field of raw material processing

Powder technology is necessary in the processing of raw materials and the manufacturing of products such as metals, ceramics, electronic parts, magnetic materials, polishing compounds, colorants, industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals and foods. Chuo Kakohki is the leading manufacturer in Japan and supports powder technology with products such as its Vibrating Mill. The raw material and powderizing medium are placed in the drum of the pulverizer, which is then vibrated at high speed to create a fine powder. This Vibrating Mill offers 8 to 10 times the pulverization performance of conventional ball mills; a model that can handle fine, nano-unit size particles is also available.

Chuo Kakohki retains the No. 1 share for both vibrating dryers and vibrating fluid bed equipment that have been developed using its vibration technology. The unique vibrating dryers create the fluid motion of the powders and particles by vibration alone while indirect heat is used to perform the drying. The vibrating fluid bed dryers use both air and vibration to create a fluid motion of fine powder while other processes, such as filter drying, priority removal of solvents and humidification control, are performed. Chuo Kakohki has firmly established itself as a powder plant manufacturer by introducing equipment that meets the stringent GMP1 sanitary requirements. These machines have been introduced to nearly all of the pharmaceutical manufacturers in Japan, where they are used for drying pharmaceuticals.
A team consisting of a member of the marketing staff and a member of the engineering staff is assigned to each product in order to integrate all the steps: development, design, assembly, sales and maintenance. Chuo Kakohki prides itself in its ability to test each and every sample brought in by its customers and then to build the required equipment.

Challenging the highest hurdles with proactive technology development using links to the study of production engineering

Chuo Kakohki uses its active association with academic institutions such as the Nagoya Institute of Technology and Nagoya University in order to utilize the best human resources to develop new technologies and products. Through links with experts in the industry and academia at the Chubu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry (Tokai Monozukuri Creation Project), it has been able to develop equipment capable of evaluating the quality of slurry2 in a short period of time. Marketing of this equipment has already started.
Using its three key lines of equipment, the vibrating mill, vibrating dryer and solvent recovery equipment (used in chemical equipment plants for the rectification of ethanol and isopropyl alcohol) that it has been working on since the founding of the company, Chuo Kakohki strives to be a company with a focus on technological development that introduces one new product to the market every year.

Notes:
1. GMP: Standard for the manufacturing and quality control of items used in the field of medicine.
2. Slurry: A mixture in which the small particles are dispersed in a liquid medium.
